Facts:
He trusted a friend and agreed to lend around RM500,000 for his cryptocurrency investment. The friend promised guaranteed interest and assured that the money would be fully returned.
But once the money was handed over, everything changed. The friend started avoiding him, calls unanswered, messages ignored, and every attempt to reach him was met with silence. He completely avoided our client and didn’t return a single sen.
With no other option, our client engaged us to take legal action. We filed a civil suit on his behalf to recover the sum. After going through the litigation process, we successfully secured a court judgment in our client’s favour, confirming that the friend is legally liable to pay the full amount.
But even after judgment was granted, the so-called friend still refused to pay and refused to show up. To push things further, we used the law as our weapon and initiated Judgment Debtor Summons proceedings to compel his appearance in court. Through this legal pressure, we finally forced him to come out and face the consequences of his actions.
